Kenjalgadcha Kabja – केंजळगडचा कब्जा

The early history of Kenjalgad fort is that it was built by Bhoj of Panhala in the twelfth century. Adil Shah took it in 1648. Later, Chhatrapati Shri Shivaji Maharaj took this fort in his campaign. But it took twenty-six years and they were able to take it in 1674. Kenjalgadcha Kabja novel is based on this campaign written by Vidyadhar Vaman Bhide.

केंजळगड या किल्ल्याचा पूर्वेतिहास म्हणजे तो किल्ला बाराव्या शतकात पन्हाळ्याच्या भोज याने बांधला. १६४८ मधे आदिलशहाने तो घेतला. त्यानंतर, छत्रपती श्री शिवाजी महाराजांनी आपले किल्ले हस्तगत करण्याच्या मोहिमेत हाही किल्ला घेतला. पण तोपर्यंत सव्वीस वर्षे लागली आणि त्यांना १६७४ मध्ये तो घेता आला. त्याच मोहिमेतल्या एकंदर नाट्यावर विद्याधर वामन भिडे यांनी केंजळगडचा कब्जा या कादंबरीचा पाया रचलेला आहे.
