Maharashtrateel Chalanaacha Itihaas book is about history of Indian Currency from 1674 to 1947 period. The research done by the author Padmakar Prabhune was in various factors like weight of the coin, size, shape, style, metal type, matter on the coin, figures, diagram, value shown. Author has illustrated the various coins with their photographs and also specifies the references of the historic facts taken from ancient literature. He also mentions the importance, purpose and the research done by him on types of currencies in the periods like, Maratha currency from 1674 to 1818, British coins and manner of currency from 1840 to 1947.
