Written by Lakshman Balwant Bhopatkar in 1927, the book ‘Dāndapattā’ is a foundational and enduring reference work for the study of Maharashtra’s traditional martial arts. To offer a deeper understanding of weapons and martial traditions, this rare reference work Dandpatta has been republished by ancient and medieval Weapons Expert Girija Dudhat after a century, newly enriched with informative chapters, diagrams, illustrations and QR codes linking to audiovisual material. A bilingual version—in Marathi and English—has been presented to the readers.
