Itihasatil Bhutaval – इतिहासातील भुतावळ

The book Itihasatil Bhutaval i.e. The Realm of Ghosts in History is authored by history researcher Raj Memane. Based on historical documents, it presents a realistic portrayal of the social mindset, superstitions and the culture of fear prevalent during the Maratha era. The book draws upon authentic Modi-script documents dating back 300 years. It explores various types of spirits and folk beliefs—such as Cheda, Khavis, Vetal, Munja, Chala and Vedachar and includes accounts of inexplicable incidents occurring on forts and in their surrounding areas.
