Description

There are plenty of forts in Maharashtra and various are built by different royal dynasties. Later in the medieval period, the forts were strengthened with secret passes, bastions etc. These forts were used by Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the fights and battles. Thus many forts got importance later on.
