13th Century to 18th Century Lekhankan ani Lekhakarya is a book on historical accounting. This book explains how the system of accounting created by the Yadavas in the 13th century was adopted by the highly intelligent officials of the Peshwa era about five hundred years later. The “double-entry bookkeeping accounting system” in particular was known to India in the thirteenth century. This book examines accounting and bookkeeping during the Peshwa era on a broad scale. Based on the Yadav period’s Mestak, author Dr. Anjali Sanjay Vekhande has examined nine types of bookkeeping were done during the Peshwa era.
