This book is divided into three parts and in the first part, author mentions the description of Panhalgad and vishalgad, places to be seen on the forts with their photographs, Farsi stone scriptures and their translation, maps of both the forts and the way to Vishalgad from panhalgad.
In the second part, battle of Kolhapur by Shivaji Maharaj after killing Afzalkhan, general information of family tree of Bajiprabhu Deshpande, relations of Shivaji Maharaj and Rustom-e-Jaman, Siddhi Johar and the battle of Panhalgad, entry of Shaistekhan, bust of the defence of Netaji Palkar and escape of Shivaji Maharaj from Panhalgad and sacrifice of Bajiprabhu are some stories given.
