Gavgada – गावगाडा

Historian and researcher Sadashiv Tetvilkar has portrayed the *Gavgada* i.e. the traditional village socio-economic system in his book titled *Gavgada- Prachin te Arvachin* (The Village System: From Ancient to Modern Times). Tracing the roots of the *Gavagada* is, in a sense, akin to recounting the history of the culture itself. Through this work, author has endeavored to present the collective village system in a manner that makes it comprehensible to the new generation, while serving as a treasure trove of memories for the intermediate and older generations.
