Balaji Vishwanath Peshwe – बाळाजी विश्वनाथ पेशवे

Balaji Vishwanath Peshwe was the first Peshwa of Shahu Maharaj I belonging to the Bhat dynasty of Shrivardhan. He was the founder of the Peshwa rule. He was the father of the great Bajirao I and chimajiappa and a brave and able administrator. From 1713 to 1720, he was on the tenure of Peshwa, where he provided a great support to the rule of Shahu Maharaj. This is the first detailed biography of such an able Peshwa in Marathi language.
