Marathyanche Deoghar – मराठ्यांचे देवघर

Just as inscriptions, copper plates, hero stones (viragals), and sati stones serve as tools for the study of history, the tak (metal plaques or icons representing deities) also constitute an important resource for historical research. The book Marathyanche Deoghar (The Deities’ Abode of the Marathas) explores these *taks*. In this work, the author, Pruthviraj Dhawad, explains the concept of *taks*, traces their history, and categorizes the various types of *taks* that exist.
