1948 che Agnitandav – १९४८ चं अग्नितांडव

On January 30, 1948, Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse, a man from a Brahmin family. After that, for the next 15 days, the houses of Brahmin families were burnt in several villages and towns in Maharashtra, and they were forced to leave their native places overnight. In very few villages people from other castes extended their helping hand to the Brahmins and saved their lives. Not only the houses of Brahmins were looted but other castes established their ownership over them. Unfortunate Brahmin community fled towards the city. The author Shri. Ranga Date who has personally experienced all this massacre has written the book 1948 che Agnitandav with the feeling that this history should be known to the society for future generations. The author feels that every Brahmin should be aware that what happened was real and painful and everyone else should be aware of how much damage we are doing to our country due to caste conflicts.
